I’ve moved on to Tumblr, it’s a blend of lifesteaming, and microblogging. Perfect for someone like myself -perhaps until Sweetcron is available (supposedly later this month). *shrug*
When Dutch politician Geert Wilders created a short film based on the Quran, it caused alot of problems, and sparked many debates. The film titled; “Fitna”, which means ’strife’. Fitna can be viewed online on YouTube, blogs, and has spread deep into social networking sites. Many people has responded, and some has created anti-Fitna videos. Many Dutch citizens have apologized to the world for this film.
Facebook has just turned on Chat in a “few networks” this morning and I think it’s a great implementation. While Facebook hasn’t announced an official rollout schedule, Chat will be gradually rolling out over the coming days.
Do you remember taking the imagini DNA personality test? It asked you to match the context of a given word to an image shown - like the screenshot below.
Now now, no blind guesses
Well, the folks at imagini has came up with another test, similar to the above, however this time it’s about love. Why bore you with more text when you could just click this link and try it for yourself.
Creative Technologies is a company that needs no introductions. Having been in the multimedia manufacturing industry for over 2 decades, this Singaporean firm has a very strong brand. However, most recently it has come under fire by their consumers, and news of this spread very, very fast.
As the social media industry grows bigger; the liberal power of the internet grows along with it. Since the penetration of blogging into the nations of the oppressed: Many people have been broadening perspectives, and most importantly communicate like they never could before. It gives people like Mohamed to voice what is happening with his country.
I read on the dailymail today about how a father from Saudi Arabia can go about killing his own daughter because of her usage of the popular social networking site many of us have grown to love; facebook. Not only did he shot her, he had to beat her up beforehand - how long? It wasn’t reported. For sure, a minute of beating will never feel like a minute.
Duty-bound? Merciless? Remorseful? It’s another thing to remorsefully shoot your family to save them, than to kill them out of rage (rage?).
A recession is coming, and according to influential economists: it’s going to be a big, bad one. What you should know is that this coming recession is not like the recessions we are familiar with. It isn’t an oil demand, terrorist attack, nor tech bubble recession. This is a recession caused by hire purchase, and sub prime loans - housing, automobiles, credit cards, and personal loans.
While mainstream advertising will lose it’s effectiveness during this time, social media will be resilient. It won’t be unreasonable for corporations to increase spendings in this area. However, it will be really unreasonable if your corporation doesn’t even have an interactive plan, much less a social media plan.
It was just one of those nights when you just left your office building, late at night - standing still for a minute to look around the beautiful night, sighing for the social life you just missed. This was me. I took a deep breath before continuing on my journey home, and walked pass this man in his mid 30’s, wearing a polo shirt, faded jeans, and slippers.
He got up with a smile on his face and passed me what I thought to be another multi-level marketing flyer. Instead I got his business card…

It takes a very dedicated team to plan, and produce Malaysian Dreamgirl. In this post, you’ll see the very dead tired Capxion team during the recent auditions.
A new social media site has launched for women that loves shoes. I think it’s very neat, there are special channels, reviews, and most importantly; alot of opinions and discussions. This ala YouTube site is currently in beta.
Day 2 turned out to be a great day at the Malaysian Dreamgirl auditions at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur. Unanimously amongst the judges, and crew: some of the girls today were much better than yesterday’s batch. Uh oh, this means girls from day 1 better up their game. Also, I missed 1 or 2 girls today.
Here are todays top performers that made it to the next round…
Adeline Lee - contestant #10, and the first to move on to the next round
I’ve just got back from the auditions of Malaysian Dreamgirl, man, what a day! There was drama between the judges, 3 girls that cried (possibly more), and a total of 18 girls that made it through to the next round - congratulations!
This is going to be quite a long post - mainly because of the pictures. I’ll keep it text light so I don’t hit you with a wall of text. Besides, it’s the pictures that you’re after right ?
Jerad Solomon, CEO of Capxion Media has extended an invite to me to attend the Malaysian Dreamgirl auditions at PWTC (Feb, 16 & 17), and view it through a live feed inside the media room. Not only will I be able to obtain data for my social media studies, but I will be watching the audition as it unfolds! As of 3 days ago, 500 girls has registered and many more are expected to walk-in.
I will be taking pictures, and videos which will be posted on my blog at the end of everyday.
During the event: I will be relaying a minimum of 2 updates per hour. You can follow these updates via twitter. If you have a twitter account: you can also send me messages - if it’s a question I will try my best to answer.
Family & Friends on my FaceBook can also view my mini-feed - it’s sync with my twitter feed.
So I saw my friends adding the PersonalDNA application on Facebook. Being a sucker for things like these, I added it and took a series of pretty interesting tests. Too bad the sliders don’t have like a numerical figure on it. You can take the test on the website too if you don’t like Facebook applications.
So far, looking at the results my friends got: it has been very accurate. Anyway, I’m a Benevolent Architect. What about you ?
